Dr. Brian Dragstedt is a licensed clinical psychologist in Tampa, Florida, and the founder of South Tampa Psychology. In private practice, he has focused on diagnosing and treating a variety of clinical symptoms including depression and emptiness, anxiety and panic. He has often evaluates and treats clients who have experienced persistent and varied emotional and cognitive symptoms resulting from long-term relationship traumas and abuse. In fact, he conducted his doctoral dissertation on the subject. Over the years, Dr. Dragstedt has worked with high-risk youth, university students, and adults with severe and persistent psychopathology, as well as day-to-day concerns including relationship dynamics and workplace stress.
Dr. Dragstedt has developed an appreciation for each client’s perspective, unique needs, and challenges in treatment. Toward this end, he uses a feedback-improved therapy model, measuring various aspects of treatment and progress toward client-set goals – a combination that research has shown to increase the effectiveness of treatment. Dr. Dragstedt conducts confidential and court-ordered psychological evaluations (testing and assessment) for learning disabilities, ADHD, psychosexual, emotional, and personality functioning; as well as diagnostic clarification for individuals and families, clinicians, schools, courts, and government agencies.
